3rd Quarter Final: Punjab vs Madhya Pradesh
Match Summary
Punjab dominated Madhya Pradesh from start to finish in a match that coincided with Lohri. After being asked to bat first, Punjab posted a commanding 345 for 6 in 50 overs. Madhya Pradesh’s chase never got going, and they were bundled out for just 162 in 31.2 overs. Prabhsimran Singh earned the Player of the Match award for his brilliant 88.
Punjab’s Batting Masterclass
The opening pair of Prabhsimran Singh and Harnoor Singh gave Punjab a flying start. They put on 116 runs for the first wicket. Harnoor contributed 51 runs from 71 balls before falling to Aryan Pandey.
Prabhsimran continued his assault, stroking 88 runs from 86 balls. His innings featured 10 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 102.32. Kuldeep Sen finally dismissed him after Punjab had built a solid platform.

Anmolpreet Singh carried forward the momentum with a quickfire 70 off 62 balls, hitting 8 fours and 2 sixes. Nehal Wadhera smashed 56 from 38 balls at a strike rate of 147.36, while Ramandeep Singh remained unbeaten on 24 from 15 deliveries. Their late assault pushed Punjab past the 340-mark.
Madhya Pradesh’s Collapse
Madhya Pradesh’s response was disappointing. Gurnoor Brar struck twice early, removing Yash Dubey for 3 in the fifth over and Himanshu Mantri for 18 in the ninth over. The team was reeling at 45 for 2 after just 8.5 overs.

Sanvir Singh turned the match completely in Punjab’s favor. He dismissed Shubham Sharma and captain Venkatesh Iyer in consecutive deliveries, reducing MP to 57 for 4. Iyer’s dismissal for a duck left his team’s hopes in tatters.
Rajat Patidar tried to resurrect the innings with 38 from 40 balls, but wickets kept tumbling. Krish Bhagat removed Akshat Raghuwanshi and Patidar. Tripuresh Singh’s 31 was the only other notable score as MP crumbled to 162 all out.
Punjab’s bowlers shared the spoils brilliantly. Sanvir Singh finished with 3 for 31, while Gurnoor Brar, Krish Bhagat, and Ramandeep Singh picked up two wickets each.
4th Quarter Final: Delhi vs Vidarbha
Match Summary
Vidarbha produced a clinical performance to knock out Delhi. Batting first, Vidarbha posted 300 for 9 in 50 overs, with Yash Rathod’s brilliant 86 leading the charge. Delhi’s chase fell apart as they were bowled out for 224 in 45.1 overs. Rathod was named Player of the Match.
Vidarbha’s Solid Innings
Delhi opted to field first, and Ishant Sharma led the side in the absence of Rishabh Pant, who suffered an abdominal injury. Navdeep Saini struck early, removing Aman Mokhade for 6, but Atharva Taide and Dhruv Shorey steadied the innings.
Taide played a patient knock of 62 from 72 balls before Ishant Sharma dismissed him. Shorey added 49 from 71 balls, and the pair built a 90-run partnership. Ravikumar Samarth chipped in with 23 before being run out.

Yash Rathod then took center stage with a brilliant counter-attacking innings. He smashed 86 runs from 73 balls, striking at 117.80. His innings included 8 fours and 2 sixes as Vidarbha pushed past 300.
Rohit Binkar, making his List A debut, contributed 15 from 9 balls. Nitish Rana picked up two wickets in three overs, but Vidarbha’s total of 300 for 9 looked challenging.
Delhi’s Chase Falls Short
Delhi’s chase started explosively with Priyansh Arya blazing to 28 from just 19 balls. However, Nachiket Bhute changed the game by removing both Arya and Nitish Rana in consecutive deliveries in the eighth over. Rana fell for a golden duck, and Delhi was suddenly 58 for 2.
Captain Harsh Dubey then took charge of Vidarbha. He dismissed Vaibhav Kandpal, Tejasvi Dahiya, and Mayank Gusain, leaving Delhi struggling at 123 for 5. His spell of 3 for 36 choked Delhi’s middle order.

Anuj Rawat fought hard with 66 from 98 balls, but he lacked support. Yash Kadam bowled an outstanding spell, conceding just 25 runs in 10 overs while picking up one wicket.
Bhute returned to finish the job, claiming four wickets in total. He dismissed Ishant Sharma and Navdeep Saini as Delhi were bowled out for 224, falling short by 76 runs.

Punjab will now face Saurashtra in one semi-final, while Vidarbha take on defending champions Karnataka in the other semi-final. Both matches will be played on January 15 and 16 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The final is scheduled for January 18.
